One month ago I parked some of my domains but in one month my earning from domain parking $0.

I parked about 30+ domains at Imonetize and some of them had sites and were getting a little traffic. I think I have made $2-$3. So I am now working on the sites I had and creating some new ones and will start moving them from imonetize.

I called imonetize and they are ok with parking domains that had active sites, so that might be something to test. For me it has not helped much, but the amount of traffic is small, and the site topics may not pay that well.

I'm thinking that for those of us that don't have too many good domains it may make more sense for us to create our own "parking page" or just have a site that can continue to attract more visitors as well.

It's been about 6 weeks now and I think I have made about $4 total.

Parking domains is great if you have traffic or you have so many domains you don't want to spend the time or money to put sites on them.

But if you don't have many domains or much traffic, you are not going to make much.

True...sometimes from a big portfolio I find that just 1-2 domains make the money from parked pages.

You people are right..Domain parking is really a gr8 thing. but for that you need to have big portfolio. OR classy Domains.. Classy Domains are in minimum 4 to 5 figures.. so not easy now...

Best option is having big portfolio.. When i started i had few domains an nothing i could make out... But learnt all things slowly Got many many domains.. presently i have aroun 1700 Domains.. and in that half of them earn quiet less.. but they make that much in an year which Can wind up my registration Charges....

You need to do lods of research before buying domains.. You need to work out with keywords also.. Thats main factor when you buy a Domain name..

If on an average each domain made me $1 a month.. Im very happy i know its less.. i just took some odd figures....


Domains cost you around $5 to $7... i buy in bulk so get in cheap price.. ;)

so suppose if we take $5 as registration Charges...

So $1 * 12 months = I.e $12 a year you make...

minus registration so approx $7 a year... from 1 domain is ur profit..

if you got 1000 Domains u make $7000

I know its not big.. but still good enough For people in india..

I got Domains which make hardly few cents a month to $30 to $40 a month....

You need to spend lods of time in research and finding good names.. there are 100's of techniques in getting good domains.. you get good names for cheap from many different forums and many other places.. i know its not easy.. but if you find out the perfect way then nothing is impossible... ;)

Coz i dont think you will get that kind of hits for just registered domains!!

I have all kind of domains, Registered one, Resale domains, some where registered site and then down for parking. But now mostly which i purchased where Resale domains, You get lods of domains on forums, and many other aftermarket places.

You need to have lods of search around different forums and many other place and get the best deal..

It seems like domain parking is a viable strategy to add to a portfolio. I guess I'll keep a lookout for any suitable domain to purchase from now on.

Oh hey, thanks for the info everyone. Domain parking sounds like a great idea, and I'll be on my toes looking for a domain that is good enough to buy~ Oh, and I haven't really thought of the buy in bulk idea. I guess from now on I'll think of Domain purchasing as a trip to Cost Co. :tongue:
