Affiliate programs
Anyone know what are the good affilaite programs? I know this question has been asked 1000 of times but the thing is that some affilaite programs are performing well in the start and then slowly the conversion decreases. I have a friend who is making $400 per day from an arcade that I gave him in gift for free While I was not even able to make a single dollar in one week from it. He is just pumping out the money from it. At first I thought he is making it up. When I saw the stats for his earning they were real and it was something for generating online leads. He was getting paid 1.5 dollars to 65 dollars per lead. Looking for ideas and sources where this kind of programs can be found. I have a gut feeling it is clickbank, but then don't know.

RE: Affiliate programs
Clickbank has been dominating affiliate marketing program nowadays as a lot of people are hungry for information. They get an answer from downloadable info products like ebooks in which clickbank is pooling a lot of authors with their products.
Yeah Nick,I think its Clickbank, with your mailing list I believe that you can get that much money on the net.

They let you know about a lot of different programs and some can be really nice if you can qualify for them. I'm in one now trying to get leads for Postage Meters. They are fussy about the sites they allow in and it took about 3 weeks to finally get in the program, but leads pay about $85 each. No, I have not gotten any yet, but I'm going to keep trying...!!! :-)
I also have another program that I am in that is something like a cross between Adsense and Chitika (they suck). I'd like to get some signups so PM me and I can tell you where to find the link. If you don't want to sign up under me that's easy to avoid if you want. This program puts little ebay auction ads on your site and you can tell them what kind of ads to run via keywords. This is best for sites that are realted to products and selling, but it could work on any site. I made $29 last month for just part of the month, and I am up to $40 already this month, but I do have the ads running on about 15 sites with about 2,000 impressions a day.

RE: Affiliate programs
I tried most of the affilaite marketing in past. CJ, shareasale, linkshare and buy.at if you ask me i would say CJ was not good at all. shareasale was a bit better but then you have to achieve Full status by recieving your first payment and only then you can participate in Pay per click programs. Linkshare does have some very good merchants.

RE: Affiliate programs
Yes I did recieved some brochures and packages from buy.at they told me that I will be given a good commision on the sales that I refer. Like A hotel booking, someone purchasing a New PC. Airline tickets and all the stuff. Alas I didn't got much time to market it and at that time even my energy level in affiliate marketing was getting lower and lower along with my earnings.
I have already tried CJ on some women products but then it also didn't shined so bright as it should. Efforts wasted in there.
I am also a member of Shareasale from 3 years and have got $22 in it. Yes just $22 from it.
Remains linkshare. That I haven't tried as they ask too much of tax and other stuff right at the signup page.

RE: Affiliate programs
Affiliate programs are easy, but only if you have time and the proper methods. There are many people making a lot of money with them, but I have as much or more of a failure as most of you. :-)
I am doing better with one program now that I have a web site provided by the company. I think the main thing is a site that doesn't try to offer too many different things and have tons of affiliate links all over the place.
$400 is not bad (rolls eyes!!!) and I can beleive it if the arcade site is getting lots of traffic and he has the right program. Azoogle Ads might be the program he is in. I tried them and I hate them, but my sites were not right for those kinds of offers.
The other thing is that you need to be in a program that doesn't suck. If you send traffic and the site or offer is not very good it won't work either.

RE: Affiliate programs
I have a quick question based on the comments on this thread.
Affiliate program would refer to a more direct approach with the advertising where you are paid based on purchases made by leads from your site, right? Would that be different from something like Google AdWords?
I wonder what product they are selling on that arcade site to generate that much revenue for the buyer. That is a lot of money!

RE: Affiliate programs
Yes, with Adwords you are paid when someone clicks on an ad. Affiliate programs don't pay you until a purchase or some other action is taken by the person, but they generally pay more per action.
